Inspiring Baby Series (IBS)

Assalam,

I'm sharing with you pics of my little Aisyah shooting for my new handmade, Inspiring Baby Series (IBS).  :-)

IBS was created when I just couldn't find something comfortable and simple cotton dresses for my baby.  I love pink but only the right shade of pink.  I like bright colours but only with the simplest style.  I think she can try other colours (like black maybe?) not just pink.  I look for dresses without zipper that won't itch her skin. I want dresses with no sashes at the back, not until she could walk.  I want her wear her dress anywhere (even at mamak's stall), not just for special occasions.  And honestly, I just want her leave her shirts and pyjamas at home.

So I self drafted the patterns, pick the colours and prints suitable for her, using only cotton fabric so she could wear it till she outgrows it.   And because she's just a baby, I choose only simple designs, not just because she could be uncomfortable in that unnecessary underskirt and frilly details for example, but also easy for me to handle too.  :-)

IBS readymade is available in 3 baby sizes, and will offer toddler sizes soon as she has turned 1! ;-)

I will upload the IBS readymade dresses this March in my facebook page.  So, do stay tuned and like the page ya!  :-)  The link to IBS page:

Smocked shirt & sundress ~ In loving memory of Dodo

Read the last moment of our cat with us here:

http://erpha-ahdayani.blogspot.com/2012/04/dodo-get-well-soon.html

Finally I managed to finish the project in loving memory of Dodo, our loyal cat.  My son has contributed his ideas too...

The material:  Wale 21 in Graphite
Style:  Smocked shirt, Smocked sundress

Our Dodo, not friendly to strangers, but been loyal to us.

He was adopted 8 years ago when his mom abandoned him.

The sundress for Aisyah, the shirt is for Alif.  :-)

The applique of his paw print, using the same material.

Simple smocking design, just a few rows of cabling.

The embroidered flowers represent the colours of the collar he used to wear.

An adaptation of 'Emilee', AS&E Issue #74.
